Stampin Up's New Demo Agreement - I'd Like to Hear Your Opinion

What does everyone think about SU's New Rules / New Demo Agreement?
I have only heard a couple comments about this, b/c my Yahoo Group is very heavily moderated. I just don't know how I feel about it yet.
For those of you who don't know...since I am a demonstrator, I won't be able to list on my blog where I purchased my non-Stampin Up items, since I am sort-of like a Stampin Up Employee. I sell their stuff...even though I don't have any customers yet, lol, because I do this just as a hobby. Although I would like to have a customer or two (or three)...it just hasn't happened yet. So, they are saying when I list out something such as "I bought this embossing powder at Archiver's" - that is pointing people to a different store, and that is now a "no no".
So, in the future, when I make a card, and if one of my card ingredients is from Michael's or Archiver's, I will just say "embossing powder - other retailer."
And, I am confused about Split Coast Stampers. Someone said we can't put stuff on there now. Does anyone know if that is true?
I am also hoping I don't have to go back to all my old posts and take out all the retailers I have listed, since the posts were made prior to this rule. If I have to do that - I will be pretty upset.
Please feel free to leave me your comments. I won't judge you for your opinions. I am not sure how I feel about all this yet.
Thank you.

I feel very negatively about Stamping Up's restrictive policies. I personally would give up my demo ship if I had one. I'm not certain whether you can upload to Split Coast or not - but there is a spirited discussion going on on the non demo side of stampin up. What I do know is that Stampin Up has asked you to remove any links to any of blogs that contain non stamping products - like There She Goes.

Personally I hope with all of the anger with Stampin UP that they will reverse their policy .

I wish you the best!

Thank you, anonymous.
Thanks for letting me know about the forum on SCS. I have been reading it this morning.
I really agree with what Joycelyn on SCS said, and I think it sums things up: "SU has just asked a large percentage of their FREE advertisers to stop advertising. That was just plain dumb."
I will probably remain an SU demo. But, I am really unhappy about the changes. I hope they revisit their policy.

All I can say is....BUMMER! Don't think they should have control over a "non-SU" website like a blog.

Hi. I am a new demo myself, but I am not upset by the new regulations. We can use whatever product we want. We just can't same the name of the company or store we got it from. I'm a hobby demo too. No customers yet either, although I want some. Maybe soon I will have a workshop. Anyway, as for SplitcoastStampers... you are free to post there and to comment about SCS on your own blog, etc. but the same rules apply you just can't say on SCS the company or store either. I use what I want and if it is something other than SU!, I will just say it came from LCS (local craft store), LSS (local scrapbook store), or MDS (Major Discount Store). Been so busy with SU! stuff lately I haven't even used those yet.
Have fun with it. I really like your blog. I have looked around a bit. I will definitely be back!! Check mine out if you have time and comment. creativepzazz.blogspot.com
