Pink Flamingo Candle

I made this Pink Flamingo Candle for my mother-in-law. She is in a group called The Pink Flamingos. I hope she liked it. Stampin Up! does have a flamingo stamp set, and I have it on my wish list. But it is retired and very rare. I hope to find a used set from another demonstrator some day.

I made these for the Kindergarten class, too. They are sooooo easy! Just attach the real red card stock (scallop punch) to the York Peppermint Patties with a glue dot!

Snowman Soup

I made these for the Kindergarten kiddos last night. The treat bags contain: hot cocoa, marshmallows, a cinnamon stick, a candy cane, and 3 Hershey's kisses.

Eli and I made this ornament 2 nights ago for his teacher. He thinks he made the whole thing. ;-)

Acetate window sheet from Office Depot. Stamped on window sheet with white craft ink and SU! Snowfall Stamp Set. Then a light painting of crystal effects over the whole window sheet and dusted with blue/green glitter (Martha Stewart glitter from Michael's).

Christmas Cerise Candle

Here is a little craft that is very easy to do. I am hoping to make one for each of Eli's teachers, if I can find the time. The cost was about $6.50. It can be done much cheaper with candles from Hobby Lobby or Michael's, but I am partial to the White Barn candles.

Ornament 3

This is the last one for tonight. I was very satisfied with this one...until...I sprayed with a protective coat of Krylon and...ugh...the ink started to bleed (as you can see). I was so ticked. Well, that is "art" for you, ha, ha.

6th Birthday Party Invitation

Here are the invitations I made for Eli's 6th Birthday. This one was all my design. I made one for every kid in his class. The indentations on the top took a lot more time than I realized (made with the Cropadile). So next time I make a large quantity of cards, I'll leave those off. But they do add such a nice touch!

Oh - and I was so excited to find a large circle punch at Michael's. I think it was 2 1/2 inches. I did the first 2 cards with the Coluzzle and *sorry*, but I just don't like that thing. The punch was soooooo much easier.

Eli's 1st Stampin Up! Card

Here it is...Eli's VERY 1st card EVER! He picked out the card stock, he went through all my stamps and picked this one (Have a Ball) and he picked the ink colors! He was soooooo good at it! Not bad for a 5-year old, huh?! (He is now 6, but he made the card before his birthday when he was still 5).

School Project

It was Eli's turn to make a poster board about his life so far for his class. I didn't use any SU paper (I just used scrap book paper from Michael's). But I did use some of my SU stamps, as you can see. Some are from the Fire Brigade, Eat Cake, and Have a Ball sets. I know this isn't a scrap book page or card, or even a craft *gasp* - but I thought I would include it in my blog since I used a few SU items!

The 70 Cent Bow

I love this bow! I was at Jeri's house last night and she showed me how to make it. It is so easy! Easier to make than a card. All you need is a 1/2 sheet of the 2-sided designer paper. And this looks a lot prettier than the bows at the card store, and it is weightier (I'm not sure if that is a word). I think bows are like 3 bucks at the card store, right? With all the beautiful SU! paper - we can make tons of these, in any color. I'm sure I will make about 20 of these for my Christmas packages.

Cards in a Jar

AKA Jards in a Car! THIS was the most fun out of all the projects I've done in the last 3 months. This jar is filled with 24 3x3 gift cards (all the rage now, ya know) - and I got to design each of the 24 cards by myself! That's why it was so much fun - the possibilities are endless. All the cards are made by using one Simply Scrappin kit, some embossing powder, a jar from Target, and stick-on pearls and rhinestones from Archivers. There is even enough left over to make another Jards in a Car. I just have to go get another jar at Target and some more ribbon. Jeri gave us the instructions for this project, but I am proud that I designed my own lid and cards, and it was my idea to add the crimped paper around the edge. These make WONDERFUL Christmas gifts. The recipient of this gift would have 2 cards a month to use for an entire year. The bottom photo is a close up of one of the 3x3 cards - however, each card is different. The top photo shows 5 examples.

Fall Birthday Card

Fall Birthday Card designed by Jeri. This one was easy. We had fun using the paper crimper - it is a good stress reliever. I like the brass brads, too.

Halloween Treat Box

This is a hand-made Halloween Treat Box made with SU! cs. The idea is to fill with candy corn and give them to a friend on Halloween. Designed by someone at the SU! convention. Jeri taught me how to do this. This was kinda hard to make - but fun. I didn't know my paper cutter also scored paper until now.

Halloween Scrapbook Page

This is my Halloween Scrapbook page. I still need to put photos of Eli trick-or-treating on the page. Jeri helped with this one, too!

Halloween Globe

Someone at the SU! convention designed this globe. Jeri taught me how to make it. We used the 2-sided SU! designer paper (a diff design for each globe we made). We used glitter on the bat's eyes. I hung these from our kitchen light fixture for Halloween. It says, "I'm batty for you!"

Jeri designed this Halloween card. We used the Cuttlebug on the purple cs, and embossed it with irridescent ice. The pumpkin was stamped using Versamark and colored in with Stampin pastels. The face was embossed with black.
